Cote D’azur

In the soft, sun-warmed curve of the Côte d’Azur sits Antibes, the kind of town you could stumble into and accidentally fall in love with. Old stone walls, salty air, shutters cracked open to let the morning breeze spill through. The markets hum with color and conversation, and the harbor sways gently, boats tapping their ropes like a steady heartbeat. You sip espresso slowly, watching life move with that effortless French ease, and you realize this is what summer is supposed to feel like.

Then you trade the coast for the calm.

Lake Como doesn’t just look romantic, it makes you act romantic. Mountains rise like guardians around the water, villas hide in the hillsides, and wooden boats glide past as if they’re part of the scenery. The light lingers longer than it should, dinner arrives later than planned, and everything tastes like it was made to be remembered. One more glass becomes two. Conversations stretch. The lake turns gold, then blue, then black, and somehow it still feels warm.

And just when you think the dream has peaked, Portofino appears like a secret.

A small jewel pressed into the Italian coastline, pastel buildings climbing the hillside, the harbor sparkling like it’s been polished by the sun. You walk slower here without meaning to. Aperitivo turns into hours. Laughter gets louder. The town lights flicker on as the sky deepens, and the food is magnificent in the simplest way: fresh, briny, rich with olive oil and herbs.

By the end, it’s hard to name what you loved most: the life in Antibes, the romance of Como, or the glow of Portofino at night.
